Queering Intimacies

Training Institute

"Queering intimacies" refers to challenging and expanding notions of intimacy by examining relationships outside of cisheteromononormative expectations. It involves not only recognizing, but also valuing, celebrating, and centering diverse forms of intimate connections, sexualities, relationships, and erotic orientations, including those experienced by 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, those in non-monogamous relationships, those who identify as kinky, and those who experience intimacy in ways that differ from societal norms. This approach acknowledges that intimacy can also encompass various forms beyond romantic or sexual relationships, and can be found in friendships, chosen families, and other unique bonds.

Who we are

We are an emerging collective of sex therapists, sex educators, somatic practitioners, and holistic body workers who provide queer and trans comprehensive sex therapy education for both providers and the general public.

Join us this fall for our first week-long training opportunity in the areas of queer and trans sexualities, relationships, and somatic sexuality. Earn up to 38 AASECT credits and network with other professionals from the PNW and beyond.
